Class!
I recently signed Charlie up for two classes through WF Parks and Recreation. I really love giving Charlie a variety of learning experiences, so I thought this was a neat opportunity. It's also a fun way for the two of us to get away and have some Mommy-Charlie time!
The class started with a musical circle time where the kids got to play instruments, dance, and begin to learn some songs. We got a CD of the music they will be using every week so Charlie can have those songs at home too. Now, Charlie enjoyed this circle time, but what he really LOVED was the parachute time!! He laughed deep belly laughs all through the parachute activities!
(It was interesting trying to help with the parachute and take a picture of my laughing boy at the same time!!)
Helping to pick up the leaves
After circle time and parachute time, it was center time! Charlie went for the trains first.
Then he explored the writing area, though instead of writing he just kept taking the tops off the markers and putting them on again!
Painting! He tasted it at first but quickly decided that it was not very tasty...
I had tried to get him to finger paint at home, but he's not really interested yet. I was glad to see that he didn't mind painting with this sponge brush!
Ta daaaaa! The finished product.
Back to the trains
The cutting/glue station- again Charlie had a ball taking off the glue stick top and putting it back on again!
The class ended with a short puppet show.
Can't wait to go back again next week!
