Beach Trip 2013 - Part 2
Continued from Part 1...
MONDAY MORNING
pretty cool tunnel set up for Charlie
Henry is really proud of himself when he sits like a big boy on the sofa
MONDAY MORNING AT THE BEACH
Daniel testing the water; we all agreed (like usual) that it was a little too chilly to stay in for long
This boy ran and played hard, but here he is taking a snack break
This is Charie using his imagination and taking mommy on a wagon ride
FAMILY DINNER AT HURRICANE MO'S
my mahi mahi seafood platter was AMAZING!
FLYING A KITE
this activity is very popular here due to good wind conditions and the first successful powered flight;
Orville Wright took off for the first time in 1903 just a few miles away from this location
here's a funny story; Charlie found a seashell and decided that it was for Gammer...
...and he kept checking to make sure it was still in his pocket...
Charlie always loves to see dogs wherever we go
...and here's Charlie giving the seashell to Gammer.
and we made good use of the sand pit at the beach house, too
what a happy boy
NAP!
boys who play hard, sleep hard
Daddy gave Henry a spiked hair-do
GRANDPARENT LOVE
we made a bunch of "cakes" out of sand
TUESDAY EVENING - OUR DATE NIGHT
here's Gammer/Grandaddy about to take the boys to the beach
this little boy is relaxing and having a good time
after a couple of days, Charlie actually greatly enjoyed putting his feet in the water
Wheeeeee!
Here's the funny part of our date night. He went to happy hour
at the pier restaurant (who can pass up 10 cent shrimp and 25 cent wings?!?).
We were hoping that Charlie wouldn't look up and see us. OOPS!, he saw us
and then whined to come and give us a hug. Then, he was distracted
by the ocean. Score.
Here's part 2 of our date night - riding bikes south on Hwy 12,
then we flew kites at the dunes, and then finally had ice cream at Snowbird
bidding farewell to everyone
The next morning Gammer and Granna took the boys to a playground.
the beach house
LAST TIME AT THE BEACH ON WEDNESDAY
checking off the bucket list; I thought it would be cool
to get a couple of pics of me buried in the sand
playing a game of basketball with a future star before dinner
As the saying goes, "all good things must come to an end" so, alas, this is...
THE END
