Anniversary Update

Hey everyone,

We recently reached our 1st year Anniversary mark!!! We are so grateful to the Lord for His infinite goodness, especially for giving us each other.

So here's some details about the weekend...

We decided to go to this Bed & Breakfast called Laurel Ridge in Siler City, NC for the Anniversary weekend (Jan. 16-18). It actually was not our original plan, but my lovely and thoughtful wife decided to do some research online to "enhance" our weekend. :) It was rustic and cozy, both of which are our favorite aspects in a home. Don't let the outside fool you; it was really nice on the inside.

The owner of the B&B educated us on several aspects of the area, including the local pottery. He had several pieces on sale, so we decided to buy a nice mug as a souvenir. He referred us to maker of this mug, Joyce Bryan, who owns Stone Crow Pottery in nearby Pittsboro. After we left the B&B on Sunday, we decided to pay her a visit. We ended up buying 2 soup bowls that match our mug. :)

The B&B owner also told us the story about Clyde Jones, an eccentric older man that carves little critters out of wood with a chainsaw. We visited his house in Bynum, NC, a small ole' mill town.

The food at the B&B was AMAZING! The owner was a former chef, and he definitely knew what he was doing!
