New House - Gardening - Picking Blackberries
Hello all,
Sorry, I haven't blogged in a while. I just wanted to give everyone a few details on how things are going for us. Great!
We are really enjoying living in an actual house! We have been working hard to remodel/update it. We put in new mini-blinds and a new light fixture in the dining room. We have the supplies to spray paint the fireplace doors a new color. I also just got a new mailbox and put "BYRD" on the side and the house number on the front. We still need to buy a new post before we can put up the Byrd box.
Our most fun with the house has been outside. Rebecca now has a beautiful garden with three kinds of lillies, some impatiens, gardenias, and vincas. It looks really good.
The pastor is letting us use his push-mower until we can get our own. I had a good time cutting the grass. Our nice neighbor across the street let us borrow his riding mower to finish the job. We also have picked a bunch of blackberries from a bush in the yard. Yummm!
