Our Second Anniversary!!!

We've been blessed with two years of marriage!! What a WONDERFUL gift from the Lord!

On Friday night, the anniversary festivities began. We started with an amazing dinner at Girasole in Wake Forest.... artichoke and spinach fondue, roasted beet & orange salad, and gnocchi for two. Then we made a spontaneous decision to see what was going on with the NC Symphony (thank you majorly discounted student prices!!!). Here is what we had the pleasure of attending:

Afterwards we walked around downtown Raleigh for a while and then finished the evening at Krispy Kreme! 

Over the weekend we exchanged gifts; I got a pair of pretty pearl earrings and Jimmy got this bird book he had been waiting for:

Our actual anniversary is tomorrow, January 17th, and we wanted to have a special dessert even though we celebrated on Friday. In honor of the fact that we had cheesecake at our wedding instead of traditional wedding cake, we'll have this mini cranberry walnut cheesecake, served up with coffee and a cozy evening at home. : ) We plan on watching our wedding DVD and reliving some memories!

We don't take for granted the time God has given us together, and we pray that He continues to teach us how to make our marriage stronger and sweeter. Thank you, Lord, for the precious gift of marriage!
