Snow Day!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Wow, it's pretty bad out there! (Well, at least it's bad for Wake Forest.) Rebecca didn't have to go to work this morning, but IF things clear up, then she might go in later. I think we might eat some pancakes. That would be good.

update...we did eat some pancakes! We also played some Scrabble, as you can see from the pictures.

update #2...we played two Scrabble games, and we both won one each!

To clarify some things from my previous note:

The Gospel is not just a 13-point or how many ever point outline. It is just important that believers learn the Gospel, preach it to ourselves, and share it with others, all 3 of which are lifelong endeavors.

The Gospel must be contextualized:
a. meaning that our personal stories (testimony) are of huge importance. One great example from Scripture is the testimony of the apostle Paul, i.e., his conversion from a persecutor of Christians to one of its leading proponents, his imprisonments, etc. People need to see specifically how the Gospel has changed our lives.
b. sharing the Gospel must be relevant to a person's culture, heritage, etc. For example, a traditional Southern Baptist growing up in the South might need to think twice before using "churchy" language with a college student from Seattle.
