Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was warm and gorgeous! Jimmy was very sweet and let me go to church; Charlie was still a little under the weather from his first cold, so Jimmy stayed home with him. The service at our church was a wonderful and refreshing celebration of the resurrection of Christ- the foundation of our faith.

The afternoon was great as well, since we got to spend it with some of our favorite people! Charlie was well enough to put on his Easter outfit and visit. Granana & Granddaddy and Mandie & Jason came over for lunch and a leisurely visit.

Our handsome little man in the outfit Dad picked out!

The table all set- obviously I had fun with green. For appetizers we had cream cheese and sweet pepper jelly with Triscuits and baby cucumbers with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. For lunch we served ham, potato salad (with red and sweet potatoes!), deviled eggs, green beans with artichoke hearts, fresh pineapple and Sister Schubert rolls. For dessert we had Mandie's awesome homemade red velvet cake! That was the first time we entertained people since having Charlie, and it was great fun!

Easter treats for our guests!

Charlie's Easter gifts from Mom & Dad- new pacis, a teething ring, baby sunglasses, and a
Jesus Loves Me book.

Goodies from Granana and Granddaddy- Let's Count with finger puppets and Charlie the Chick.
