The First Week

Jimmy was home with us Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after we got home from the hospital. We were grateful to be home together as a family and tried to get used to being a family of 4. Thursday morning Tara came over and kept us company and then Jimmy was able to come home from work early. Friday Granddaddy came to play with Charlie and give me some time alone with Henry. We had a great day together and had our first fun outing: lunch at Chick-fil-A!
Mom came up on Saturday and Grandma, Gene, and Sallie and Dennis came to visit as well. Charlie also ran a fever, which was the beginning of an ear infection.
Sunday, Mother's Day, Jimmy took Charlie to the doctor's office, then we went out with Mom, Dad, and Daniel for a celebratory lunch at Chili's.
Throughout the week various members of our small group brought dinner for us, which was a huge help! It was wonderful to not have to cook dinner while trying to learn how to take care of two little boys.

Enjoying his favorite activity- being outside!

We discovered that Henry likes to be swaddled (Charlie did not). Henry is a good little sleeper!

I love how his hands are positioned! So cute!

The beautiful Mother's Day flowers Jimmy (and the boys) sent me! He also gave me a nice box of chocolate candy. (After Henry was born he gave me a gift card for a pedicure, so I was feeling pretty spoiled by him after all this!)
