Busy Boys (A.k.a. Miscellaneous moments with the boys this spring...)

At the mall when we had Reagan for the day (during Ilah's birth!)

Baby-sitting Ilah weeks later... the boys thought this was great fun and were very sweet to her!

Charlie with his cupcake picture he colored during his time at the Y. I think this is what started is cupcake obsession...

The most handsome Charlie Byrd I ever did see. : )

Charlie and Henry one morning "making cupcakes."

You can see that some cupcakes had been painted as well...

The goods! I love that he used his lacing beads as cupcakes and his crayons as candles.

Henry sleeps like this often- usually with Puppy draped over his face. Sweet boy!

Making real cupcakes while Sarah Grace was over one afternoon...

...and eating them that night after we got back from a walk at the greenway!

One afternoon Andrew let Sarah Grace and the boys "help" wash their car.

Working hard!

Putting some elbow grease into it.

Then they moved on to the van!

Playing in the soap was also fun...

...and so was getting each other with the sponges!

Soap fight!!

Eek!

And then it was over, as quickly as it had started.

One afternoon playing in the woods with SG and Reagan. Sitting in the "fort" some of the neighborhood kids made.

The little guys!

Working on stuff.

Binoculars!

I love how busy they get at playing. How true it is that a child's work is to play!

Busy little bees.

Not sure what they were doing here, but they were very focused!

Bikes and cars.

Another day outside!

Adorable. I know I'm partial, but this face. It just gets to me!

In their "car." Discarded trash is always fun to repurpose....

Swingin' in the breeze, and proud of it!

Climbing the tree, sort of.

Henry wanted to do it too!

Sarah Grace hanging out up there...

...and Charlie too!

A lot of times on Fridays I would take the boys to the Tumble Gym free play. They got to do all sorts of playing, jumping, tumbling, etc., and for only $5 per child per hour. It sure beats paying for a class!

Henry on the rings

And the balance beam! That morning Gammer and Granana had come to see the fun first-hand.

Charlie on the tall balance beam!

And the rings.

This little kid is flexible and bend-y. He really liked swinging on these rings and would ball his legs up close to his chest.

The perfect picture of Henry: running.

Learning to balance

The boys like to jump over these.

One morning the Adamses came to town, so Darla and Cal got to come with us! Charlie and Darla are jumping here.

Go, Cal, go!

In the ball pit!

The boys also got to go to Lynchburg earlier that week to eat lunch at Sallie's.

Very focused. Food is serious business!

They all love playing together. Wish we got to do more of it!

Our baseball buddy.

Love this picture of Gammer and Henry laughing so hard!

Jimmy's feet inside the Burger King play area, since Henry needs help initially getting into it. They love any restaurant that has a play area.

I took the boys to Three Bears Acres one day, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Here is Charlie enjoying the mud kitchen.

Henry painting on their grafitti wall- it's a brilliant idea! They hose it down each day, probably multiple times a day, since the kids use washable paint.

While at Three Bears, the boys also enjoyed playing on the wooden play structure, swinging, and sliding down the toboggan slides. We also walked down to the lake to look at the paddle boats.

Here are pictures from our first Mudcats baseball game together as a family. We went with our small group, and after getting lost on the way there, still had enough time to enjoy a few innings, eat some snacks, and cheer on the team. Here is Charlie with his Cracker Jacks, which they know of because of the song.

Look at those cuties sitting together- Bryson, Charlie, Jimmy, and Henry!

Charlie whipped out those binoculars, ha!

I love this picture- Jimmy cheesing, and Henry wailing!

Trying to get a family picture after the game.

Take 2.
Love having these times with my family!
