Family Photos

On Nov. 6th we had family pictures taken! I really love the pictures we had taken when Charlie was a couple months old- we got great ones of him and of the three of us as well. I wanted pictures again this year so we could get some of Henry and us as a family of four! We were originally supposed to go to Joyner Park since we all love going to that park together as a family to play. We thought that would be a great place to have pictures taken. It was really cold the morning of our shoot though, so we met on the seminary campus in Appleby Chapel. We were able to steal a few outside as well and then come back inside quickly to warm up!

Jenn from Jennifer Hambrick Photography did our photo session. She was very reasonably priced, was great with both boys, sent our disk to us in a very timely manner, and did a great job with the editing. I am SO pleased with our pictures!

But before I post some of my favorites, I wanted to post some of the outtakes! Anyone with little kids knows what it can be like during a photo shoot. Whew. So without further ado...

There was much laughter and wiggling all morning.

And many precious goofy pictures that I love!

And not much looking at the camera.

This boy ran everywhere.

This boy needed to be fed.

And this girl got to kiss her man, which was definitely a perk. : )

Here is an example of why Jenn had to take more than 500 pictures to get some good ones for us:

I'm pretty sure I'm trying not to get hit with the sticks Charlie is holding in this picture.

We're all looking in different directions...

Put the paci back in! Finally I'm looking but Jimmy's not.

Apparently the mulch is more interesting to Charlie. Not sure what Henry is looking at.

Finally Charlie decided he'd had enough.

Anyway, enough of the outtakes. Here are some of my favorites!

  1. wow! these are really so good, guys! what a treasure.
so fun to have this season of life in snapshots that capture it all so well! it's crazy how you'll blink and the snapshots of your family will already be so different! just getting even better and sweeter, if that's even somehow possible. Such grace.
