Baseball and Henry's Big Boy Bed!!!

This April we had a great time at Bryson's first baseball game, and Jimmy and the boys got to go to some additional games during the rest of the season while I was at work on Saturday mornings.

Our favorite ball player!

On the sidelines with my boys.

Henry loves some baseball! I love how intent he is here!

Eating his peanuts and cheering. Texas Roadhouse provided the snack for the inaugural game of the season.

Munching peanuts and hanging out together.

Batter up! He got some good hits during that game!

There he goes!

And they all ran the bases together after the game. Fun times! One thing I don't want to forget is how much fun the kids have playing together at "Bryson's field" (what Charlie calls Flaherty Park, since we go there with them). They take bats, gloves, balls, etc. and have a free-for-all on the field! At times even Tara and I have been known to bat and run the bases too. One morning Bryson slid into first base when they were playing at Flaherty and Charlie went out there and sat with him. So they just stayed there awhile chatting... Bryson still in his sliding-into-base position, and Charlie sitting in the dirt next to him. So sweet.

A close-up of our own baseball lover.

I love this picture- so cute!

Wearing Bryson's helmet, with a hand full of balloons from the game. What a fun time!

After the game we went with the Porters to Sonic for some refreshments. Then we headed to Cary to get Henry's big boy bed! We found a toddler bed almost identical to Charlie's on Craigslist, so we hopped on that deal! Henry was very excited to be getting his bed. When we got back to WF Mom and Dad came over so Henry could open his birthday present early- his new big boy bedding! Dad also helped Jimmy dismantle the crib and put together the bed, while Mom and I bathed the boys.

Opening his sports bedding!

Sigh. It was kind of sad to see this come down...

They were very interested, to say the least.

Gettin' it done!

Finished!

And you know we have to try jumping on the bed...

Relaxing.

Covering up. Sweet boys!

Fast asleep.

On a side note, we let Henry keep his paci until shortly after his spring visit to the dentist. We used the same method we used with Charlie, where we physically altered his pacis until he was no longer interested in them. For a while after we cut it, he would put the plastic part in his mouth and gnaw on that for comfort. After a couple weeks, though, he just lost interest and was done.
