The Byrd Family Christmas 2011

On Friday, December 23 Jimmy, Charlie, and I celebrated our family Christmas together. It was fun to watch Charlie open gifts for the first time, and we enjoyed just being together. As an added bonus, Charlie took his first several walking steps in the kitchen that morning! I'm glad he waited until we were both home!

This is Charlie's Christmas "spread" from us.

Playing with his new cars!

Jimmy wanted this Garmin GPS for a LONG time, so we decided to save for a while so he could get it! It has been really useful to him, especially at work when he's delivering furniture!

Playing with his new toy, the GPS

This was my gift! It now has a special place on our living room wall, and this first official family portrait is precious to me. This picture was taken back in March when Charlie was 2 months old, and Jimmy had this and several others printed for me. What a treat!

Having fun with his new refrigerator letters, which shortly thereafter we took away... he could get entire letters in his mouth, and we didn't want him to choke! Maybe in several more months he'll be ready for them.

Figuring out his popper

Charlie got a toothbrush and toothpaste in his stocking. So far he loves "brushing" his teeth!

After a lazy morning together, the three of us took the scenic route to Cracker Barrel out at the airport for our Christmas dinner. It was gorgeous day for a ride through the country.

For the past two years we have cooked our Christmas dinner, but since Bettra sent us a Cracker Barrel gift card and we were heading out of town that afternoon, we decided to enjoy someone else's cooking. It was delicious!

Charlie enjoying his grilled chicken tenders and green beans. He also devoured a biscuit and a whole juice box!

Merry Christmas!
